Chevin Brae Open Garden

David Moreton of Chevin Brae, Chevin Road, Milford opened his garden as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS) for charity on Sunday 2nd April.

He has opened his garden several times before, but on this occasion he was blessed with very pleasant weather and this brought in the crowds – a record 171 visitors.

David would like to thank all those people who came from Milford to support the event and especially the Blooming Milford team, who worked tirelessly to serve tea and cakes to all the visitors.

A total of 10 cakes and pies, plus homemade shortbread, were consumed by the visitors, plus over 200 cups of tea!

A total of £602 was raised from entrance fees and teas for the NGS charities, and in addition £163 was raised from plant sales for Blooming Milford.
