Several Milford & Makeney residents have become involved with Transition Belper which is part of a growing network of groups all over the world ‘exploring how we can increase our community’s ability to withstand the challenges of peak oil and climate change.’
Essentially, Transition Belper’s activities are aimed at ‘making Belper and surrounding area a more sustainable place for us all to live, work and play and, at the same time, reducing our impact on the planet and our individual community carbon footprint.’
