Although Angelo and Carlo are leaving The New Inn after 12 years, the good news is that firstly: Angelo’s Bistro, which is located to the side of the Kings Head Hotel in Duffield, will open on Friday the 5th of April; secondly, the New Inn will continue as a restaurant, re-opening on Friday, April 19th.
You can visit Angelo’s new website for further details – www.angelosbistroduffield.co.uk or call them on 01332 843121.
Angelo, Carly and the staff would like to thank all of their customers for your support over the years and hope to see you in their new premises.
Angelo’s Bistro will be offering less formal dining than the New Inn. ‘We’re going to be more easy going and relaxed’ says Angelo, ‘like an Italian trattotoria. Along with pasta, fresh meat and fish dishes, we’re adding tapas-style platters and sharing boards. There will also be as take-away service.
Angelo’s Head Chef Kyle is taking over the running of the restaurant and will be operating under the name of The New Inn. It will have similar opening hours to Angelo’s, plus an extended Sunday afternoon opening and Thursday and Friday lunchtime opening.
Kyle, who has been Head Chef at Angelo’s for the last two years, promises to continue offering the same quality dishes that distinguished Angelo’s, though with more British fayre on offer, especially at lunchtimes.
The move to a more British menu will also be reflected on the walls. Milford Webmaster Ashley Franklin, whose Tuscany images have graced Angelo’s walls for many years, will be providing Derbyshire photo art landscapes, like the ones below:
