A new report ‘Fit to Respond to 2022’ subtitled ‘An Opportunity to Shape the Future of Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service’ contains proposals to alter the location and number of our county’s fire stations.
One proposal is to merge the Duffield and Belper stations and site it in Milford right beside the A6. The station would house one fire engine and one smaller response vehicle and a total of up to 17 personnel.
