Can you provide any information on a photo taken at the old Makeney garage just before the War?
Mark Weston, who lives in Ashbourne, has spent the last few years archiving pictures and information relating to motorcycles and motorcycling competitions in the Derbyshire and East Midlands region.
As he told us: ‘I can’t tell you much about the photo other than the Triumph is a model 80 (350cc) or model 90 (500cc) manufactured between 1937 and 1939. The photo was part of a collection of old motorcycling memorabilia belonging to a chap from Derby named Frank Carr who died last year. Perhaps you can shed some light on the location?’
