The Triangle public garden in Milford has received an “Outstanding” award from East Midlands in Bloom (EMIB).
This was in the “It’s your Neighbourhood” category. The Triangle has been entered three years in succession in this category, but this is the first time it has achieved the highest “Outstanding” rating.
Thanks should go to Blooming Milford who maintain the area and to Belper Town Council who provide and plant the bedding along the front. Both organisations combined this year to undertake a major pruning and replanting exercise in the spring, which clearly paid off.
This adds to the awards already received from EMIB, and described elsewhere on this website, for the floral displays on The Bike Shop on the A6, the Milford Social Club and The Holly Bush Inn in Makeney. This brings the total awards to four in 2019 – an exceptional year for the village!
