The first proper community gathering on the Milford Community GreenSpace on 19th December was a success, with 30 attendees and £26 raised for GreenSpace funds from kind donations by the visitors.
The visitors gathered around the newly established fire pit (see here for more details of its creation) where they were served mulled wine, hot chocolate, mince pies and jam tarts. They were also treated to a spoon making display by local craftsman Alan Squires, who in the space of an hour converted an ash wood log into a beautiful carved spoon. Meanwhile the children used the most of the site to play games and build dens. The photos below give a flavour of the fun being had by all.
