Regular users of the footpath that continues from Wood Lane over the golf course to the track that leads down from North Lane, will know there are two parallel paths beyond the gardens of Sunny Hill leading to the track, one which goes through the trees (to the right in the picture below), and one that goes over the golf course, to the left in the picture.
Until recently, only the path to the left was an official Public Right Of Way (PROW) although both paths were widely used. Now Derbyshire County Council has also granted PROW status to the right hand path through the trees, so walkers can officially use either.
