Sadly, the Village Store is currently closed. It is understood that the site has been bought and that the owners are keen to see the store continue in some capacity. More news to follow.
There are plenty of shops and supermarkets near Milford & Makeney. Belper has a Morrison’s and a Co-op, and a good assortment of specialist, independent and family-run stores like delicatessen Fresh Basil, gift shop Frearsons and ironmongers Tomes. For a full list of shops in Belper, click here
