Chevin Brae opened its garden on 16th August 2025 August as part of the National Garden (Yellow Book) Scheme. We were blessed with warm but cloudy weather, so mercifully not the scorching temperatures of the week before. 72 people came and £650 was raised for charity (£444 for the National Garden scheme charities (Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Parkinson’s UK and others) from the entrance fees and refreshments and £190 for Blooming Milford from their plant, jam and bird care ceramics stalls).
Below is a selection of photos of the day taken by Alan Carr.

Many thanks to all the members of Blooming Milford who came to help out on the day, and thanks to the members of the public who came to support the event. Thanks to Alan Carr for the photos – I didn’t realise hummingbird hawk moths could be seen this far north!
