Chevin Brae Open Garden 20th August 2022

Chevin Brae (Morrells Lane, Chevin Road) opened its garden to the public again 1-5pm on Saturday 2oth August, as part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS, Yellow Book). Despite the recent scorching weather there was still colour in the flower borders and the vegetable gardens and orchard were full of produce. 67 people came and the proceeds from the entrance fees (£201) and tea and cake stall (£164, total £364) went to the NGS charities (Macmillan, Marie-Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK, Parkinson’s UK). There was also a plant and jam stall for Blooming Milford, which raised £82.50. The cakes & jam were all home made and featured fruit from the garden. Thanks to all those who attended – your support is very welcome.
