For the second successive year, Chevin Green Farm B&B has received a ‘Bib Hotel’ award in the Great Britain and Ireland Michelin Guide 2016.
Congratulations to Sarah Marley, who runs this luxury boutique B&B, believed to be Britain’s only tea-themed bed and breakfast. It is also the only ‘Bib Hotel’ in Derbyshire – and only one of two in the whole of the East Midlands.
Sarah, who is a designer by profession, says: ‘I am delighted to have achieved the Bib Hotel Award for a second year. At Chevin Green Farm B&B, we aim to offer luxury accommodation and personal service, to ensure all our visitors feel relaxed and at home.’
Michelin were keen to praise the B&B’s tea-theme in their recommendation, stating: ‘The delightful owners have a passion for tea, so you’ll find a great selection, alongside tea-themed artwork, ornaments and furnishings.’ The Guide also praised Chevin Green Farm’s peaceful surroundings and beautiful views.
The B&B is a small, rural retreat based on the farm. Sarah loves tea and has themed the B&B around this passion. Old milk churns and milk bottles are used as decor to commemorate the building’s dairy farm roots. The tea-theme forms the most striking theme and feature of today’s Chevin Green Farm, which has been re-designed by Sarah. Sarah is known locally as ‘Mrs Tea’ because of her love of the drink! Quirky and whimsical bone china tea-pot shaped lights and table lamps can be found throughout the property.
