As part of the Belper 250 celebrations, the charity group Paddle Peak have organised a river cruise to celebrate the Strutt’s legacy of boating on the River Derwent from Belper River Gardens. Some 60 craft have signed up to take part in this historic event paddling up to Ambergate and back – 4.5 miles, 7km – and spectators are welcome to watch them go!

A variety of stalls will be in the River Gardens to entertain you including the North Mill volunteers and Fleet arts.
All Welcome from 12 pm on Saturday the 2nd May.
