The new General Manager of the Mill House, Simon Keane, has dropped leaflets through village letterboxes announcing his arrival and welcoming us all to the pub.
Simon has come to settle in the village with his family – his son will soon be starting at the village pre-school and moving up to the primary school in September – and says in his leaflet that he is ‘keen to work closely with local groups to support them in any way I can.’
Simon brings with him over 25 years of experience working with the food, beverage and licensing trade. Most recently, he moved from Gainsborough Golf Club in Lincolnshire where he spent 11 years as Operations Manager.
Simon adds that although the Mill House is a Fayre & Square branded pub, he is ‘striving to give the pub its own identity’ and believes ‘it can – and should – play an integral role in the local community.’
