Belper Apple Day will be happening in October again this year, details in the poster below. Following the tragic death of Chris Ring in Milford in June, the event has been renamed The Chris Ring Apple Day in his honour, since it was he who set up the event three years ago and lead the organising committee every year. There will be a free apple identification session with expert Jeff Bates from 10.30-11.30 so please bring any mystery apples from your gardens along. There will also be over 20 local varieties of apples to taste.
As in previous years there will be a Milford Apple Day 2-4pm the day before (12th October) on The Greenspace involving children’s apple crafts and apple pies and cakes for everyone.
