Milford & Makeney have always been well endowed with pubs, but in 2026 the same looks to be happening for coffee shops. The A6 Coffee Co opened in May 2026 underneath the Velo Bavarian bike shop on the A6/Foundry Lane junction and the Chapter House, a proposed coffee shop and bookstore, is due to open in Winter 2026 in the ground floor of the Dye House (the renovated building in the Milford Mills development by the big chimney on the A6).
The A6 Coffee Co is already popular amongst the cycling fraternity and offers good coffee and cakes and pastries and seating outside and indoors and a WC and parking.
