David Moreton opened his garden (Chevin Brae, Morrells Lane, Chevin Road) to the public 1-5pm on Saturday 22nd August, as part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) for charities such as Macmillan, Marie-Curie and Mind.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic admission was via pre-booked appointment only in half hour slots, but despite this the opening was a success, with 72 visitors. David would like to thank Pat Hamilton, Carol Hawley, Rod Repton and Luke & Ola Moreton for their help on the day and also the many Milford residents who came to visit. There were visitors from much further afield too, from places such as Stockport, Congleton, Nottingham, Leicester and Welshpool.

The cake stall was a great success, with everything consumed and £175 earned for the NGS charities. This, on top of the £216 entrance fees, meant a total of £391 was raised. There was also a plant stall which earned £55 for Blooming Milford.
